The Role
The Credit Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire credit function of the organization. You will be expected to lead a team of credit officers and ensure that all credit-related activities are conducted in compliance with regulations and company policies. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving credit-related strategies and implementing policies and procedures to optimize credit performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for credit administration and operations delivery in support of the Company’s business objectives
- Responsible for planning, designing, and implementing technology solutions to identify automation opportunities in credit administration operations
- Ensures compliance with all credit-related regulations and company policies
- Sets priorities, allocating resources, and resolving conflicts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values
- Assess and allocates performance targets, providing regular feedback in a timely and constructive manner
- Provides forecasting accuracy and tight budget controlling
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including third-party providers and partnering banks
- Responsible for the performance, development, and wellbeing of the team. Ensuring that team members have clear goals and objectives, are adequately trained and supported, and have regular opportunities for feedback and development.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or MIS
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in credit-related functions such as loan origination, underwriting, collections, or credit risk analysis and 5 years in managerial position
- Strong knowledge of credit-related systems and processes
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of consumer finance and lending regulations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team
- Analytical and data-driven mindset
- Ability to develop and implement credit-related strategies.
